During his second official trip to sub-Saharan Africa in 2013, President Obama announced that he would be hosting African leaders for a Summit in Washington in 2014. True to his promise, the US President will be welcoming leaders from the African continent on the 5th and 6th August 2014 to the US Capital. The US Africa leaders Summit will be the first of its kind and the largest that any US President has ever convened with African Heads of State or government.
