Proteas fast bowler Lungi Ngindi described making his Test cricket debut for South Africa against India in front of his home crowd at Supersport Park in Centurion as a dream come true at stumps on Day Two. India resume today (Monday) morning on 183/5 in reply to South Africa’s 335 in the first innings. Ngidi, who picked up a wicket and completed a runout on debut, says he is pleased with his performance but believes he could have done better. Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma also spoke highly of Ngidi after seeing the youngster turn on the gas in front of his home crowd. With 80 Tests to his name and 227 wickets, Sharma says that Ngidi is a great prospect for the future of SA Test cricket.
