Mayor of Tshwane, Kgosientso Ramokgopa has praised the successful hosting of the 2016 Tshwane Open that also marked the end of co-sanctioned events in the summer swing and says he could not have asked for a better finish. Charl Schwartzel beat his nearest challenger Jeff Winther of Denmark by eight strokes after a final round of 63 to win his 11th European Tour title. It was also a historic day for black indigenous golfers as no less than two players, Lindani Ndwandwe and Toto Thimba made it through the weekend, something that caught the mayor's attention and he says next year they will invite more black players as part of their five year anniversary.
