West Indies cricket legend Brain Lara was given the honour to officially open the multipurpose centre, the Mandela Sports complex in Hammanskraal. According to the local council the complex has also managed to create 38 jobs and 5 local sub-contractors were appointed. Even though the work was 70 percent finished, Lara had the opportunity to do cricket clinics with school kids within the surrounding communities. And the former Windies captain was so humbled by the occasion, and he says it reminds him of his playing days as a kid… SABC Sport journalist Tshepo Khuzwayo reports
