Proteas fast bowler Dale Steyn says the Kingsmead pitch aided him and the Proteas in dismantling the Indian batsmen in the rain interrupted day which saw the Proteas eventually bowl India out for 334 after the Indians had started the day on 198 for one……
Steyn believes that the rich rewards for himself and the Proteas was due to a lot of hard work and the fact that they were not complacent because previous results have not gone their way in Durban……
In achieving his 22nd five wicket haul in Test matches, Steyn believes that the Test was one of his better ones as it was started with a soft dismissal before he wrapped up the rest of the Indian batsmen. Steyn had also gone for 414 deliveries without a wicket but ended his drought with six for 100 in 30 overs which included nine maiden overs……
