A total of 396 schools older than 40 years have been inspected across the region, plus an additional 300 schools which are not yet 40 years old were checked, with inspectors looking for the most commonly occurring deficiencies. Of those schools inspected, 170 of them require action to “ensure stability and security”, especially concerning deficiencies in the electrical installations.
