William Demerest was a vaudevillian, an actor in many classic movies (including "The Jolson Story") and replaced William Frawley on "My Three Sons." His surprisingly feisty humor livened up some talk shows. At 87, he's Groucho-honest about the "joys" of old age. He's not too big on nostalgia either. He'd be miserable except he's having a great time getting laughs! That's Estelle Winwood on the left (95 years old, and memorable as the flatulent assistant to Miss Marbles in the late Neil Simon's "Murder by Death"). On the right, Pat O'Brien. No nonsense? Plenty of it, and he leaves everyone doubled over with a golf anecdote.
