It didn’t take long for me to picture myself as a kid. I would get butterflies right before jumping into the pool. I knew it was going to be cold, but I wanted to be the first in every time. I would jog out the back door being careful not to slip on the slick, stamped concrete, throw my towel on a chair and leap. That jump was the most exciting part. The decision was already made. There was no way of turning back.
