Dr. Scott Brooks joined The Upside Podcast in the first of a series of discussions about the racial issues we're facing in this country and how they impact athletes, coaches, and families. Dr. Brooks is the Director of Research at the Global Sports Institute at Arizona State. He is also a senior fellow at the Wharton Sports Business Initiative and the Yale Urban Ethnography Project. He authored the book “Black Men Can’t Shoot” in 2009 and has consulted the NFL and MLB while being cited by the likes of the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, and SLAM Magazine.
