Spending time in the kitchen with your child may come about on a whim, but it most often results from someone asking a question. It may be the child asking if they can help, or it might be you putting yourself in that most vulnerable position of inviting them to join you.
In this episode of the Cooking is Connecting Podcast, you and I will walk through the relational effects of asking something of your child rather than commanding, demanding, or even suggesting they behave a certain way. We’ll break down the possibilities to help relieve our fears and see how giving a child the opportunity to refuse can actually help to build connection.
