ANKARA, Turkey — A Turkish court rejected an appeal Tuesday to end the house arrest of American pastor Andrew Brunson who is facing charges of espionage and terror which he denies and which the Trump administration has said are unsubstantiated. Pres. Trump is threatening “large sanctions” if the pastor is not released from house arrest and returned to America.
Christians are beginning to return to their towns and villages in Iraq’s Nineveh Plain, but many refuse to return to Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, claiming they are afraid jihadi networks are still on the ground — especially in Mosul.
