Sophia Sohrabian
The Health Dangers Caused by Exposure to Mold
Sophia has been an activist fighting against corporate corruption in the real estate building management industry. She originally appeared on our show back in 2013. She comes back on our show to share an abbreviated update on her story as well as the current status of the challenges she’s been facing in her quest to expose the health dangers of mold caused by the use of poor materials and poor design by contractors and building management companies who violate building code requirements in the building industry. Sophia is close to completing a book on her story about this fight. The main target of Sophia’s story is the building management company Stuart Company Management. Stuart Company Mgt. manages large real estate apartment complexes throughout the country. The complex Sophia lived in while she was exposed to mold was located in Minneapolis, MN at this address: 7250 York Ave S Minneapolis, MN 55435 United States Sophia has evidence that Stuart Cole does not take care of their buildings. They just keep putting paint and sheet rock over the mold. In addition Stuart Cole stole all of Sophia’s personal property - family heirlooms of rare artworks, diamonds, jewelry and precious metals from Iran - from the unit she was renting. Sophia has also been compiling evidence for many years on the adverse health impact this mold exposure has caused in dozens - if not hundreds - of people who have lived in the same apartment complex. Sophia was on our show with us 6 years ago in 2013
We begin this story with a picture. A beautiful rose and a beautiful individual – an artist – who was/is full of life. Her name is Sophia. She came to the United States in 1978 at the age of 14 with her family who wanted her to live in Paris France. This move was very prescient for less than one year later the Iranian revolution of 1979 was in full swing.
Six years ago we received an email from Sophia which was submitted on our website as follows: “hi I'm an Iranian woman has a human rights issue and a health issue of thousands of dollars of my property were kept away,,,,need more you can call me I'm working with a screen writer to get the story out.” http://sophiasnightmare.wordpress.com/2013/02/21/evan-a-beautiful-rose-has-thorns/ The next step involved calling her to listen to her story. We listened. And listened, etc. It was simply unbelievable. It was hard to even imagine what this woman has had to endure, but we made a commitment to her to interview her and work to get her story into a format so that others could better understand a medical issue that seems to be impacting hundreds of thousands – if not millions – of individuals all over the world.
