Treasure is more than what's in our wallet, but what's always on our heart. Even those who love money love it for what it can give, not for the money itself. Jesus is saying that money, acceptance, fame, anything else we desire on earth is temporary. We cannot take anything to the grave. How do we find meaning and purpose here on earth? We find connection with God. We recognise that eternal life is knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom he sent. Anxiety and worry are due to disconnection from God. The longing to be liked, secure, safe, healthy, noticed, and assured is due to our desire to find that Something Else. So, seek God. Instead of being consumed by the world, be captured by God. Use what God has given you to shine the light of Jesus in the world, and point to his kingdom.
