This 31 reading plan is going to cover a lot of Scripture. The selection from Psalms is meant to lead us in worship (that's what the Psalms were intended to do). Proverbs gives us practical advice and principles for living. And the remaining Scripture readings are to help us work through the Bible in a chronological way; showing God's plan from creation to eternity.

The Bible was written to be taken as historical fact, not just a bunch of fables. Applying The Word to our lives is important, but the application needs to be founded in what The Word actually says, and not rest on our own personal/cultural interpretations. I pray that as we read through the Bible together, we remember that these words are trust worthy and given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit; and, as such, should be taken as precious, important, and God's gift to us.
