A two-hundred and twenty five thousand dollar fine for Rubis for operational failures that led to a fuel tank leak at the Jackson Point Terminal in November 2019. The Interim CEO at Fuel sector regulator, OfReg, says its investigation found sufficient grounds to file charges against the operator in March. He said although the incident has not had a significant impact on our environment, had the operator adhered to the codes, standards and their own operational procedures, the leak could have been prevented.

The Office of the Auditor General releases their report “The Government’s shift to online services.” According to the Office of the Auditor General the Government has shifted many services online with the first established e-government initiative in 2010 but more customer improvements are possible.

Police officers responded to a report of a stabbing incident outside a bar in Seven Mile Shops on West Bay Road shortly after 12:40 this morning. It was reported that there had been an altercation at the location in which one man waved a knife and stabbed two men…one in the eye and the other in the abdomen. The men are being treated for what appear to be serious and life-changing injuries.  Onlooker re being asked to come forward with information.
