If you or someone you know has ever wrestled with doubting your salvation this episode will leave you empowered and encouraged that your note alone and that there is hope for freedom in this battle. Jenna shares her journey of how she wrestled with consistent sin and how that played tricks on her mind to make her believe she wasn't saved. She talked about how she felt God needed space from her when she sinned, and that He was disappointed in her, but how He has helped her re-shape her view of God to a biblical perspective on His love and grace in her life. We talked through sanctification, and how we are a constant work in progress until heaven and God doesn't need our perfect performance, He wants our fellowship and sometimes that means pruning and repentance. On the other side of that sanctification, we produce the fruit of the Spirit. We discuss that the enemy's voice will always speak shame, guilt, and fear and we have to be vigilant to what voice we are basing our salvation on. God brings loving conviction and compassion that leads to repentance and restored fellowship. Jenna also encourages listeners to not ever compare their salvation story to anyone else, because God has a unique story for each person that God will use to reach different people for the Gospel. Bottom line- Don't disount your salvation journey, and never doubt in the dark what God has given you in the light! His love and perfect sacrifice stands strong, despite our imperfections, and that is what we place our hope and foundation in. Embrace grace today friends!
