Breast cancer affects 50, 000 people a year, and early diagnosis is key to improving survival rates. Dr Jo Morris, Senior Lecturer in Cancer Genetics in the School of Cancer Sciences, @unibirm_mds at the University of Birmingham, explains to Sam how she is creating an artificial cell that has the genetics of a person at high risk of breast cancer. By monitoring what happens next she hopes to understand more about the very earliest stages of breast cancer and how they might be identified.
