Nearly 10 000 children across five European countries have participated in the PAPA project – Promoting Adolescent Physical Activity - which is about to culminate in an event at St George's Park, the new state-of-the-art National Centre of the English Football Association. Sam talks to Professor Joan Duda in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences about how to enhance young peoples’ health and well-being through positive experiences in sport. She explains how the training of grassroots coaches is key to promoting physical activity among young people, and to helping them to enjoy sport and to build their self-esteem.
