The Royal Mint Reviews

There's nothing more valuable than learning what others have said about a company. Unfortunately for The Royal Mint, they received a poor score on Trustpilot. The company only managed 1.9/5 stars. This is significantly low compared to competitors.

Let's take a deep dive into the good and the bad:

  • Positive Reviews The Royal Mint has 4 5-star reviews out of 438 reviews. These reviewers all said that they had a good experience purchasing with The Royal Mint.

One customer, in particular, said that they ordered 2 special coins for Christmas presents and that the order was dispatched soon after ordering. The products they ordered came relatively quickly and there were no apparent problems with their order.

Another reviewer said they were skeptical to buy from The Royal Mint initially but that they were very pleased with their purchase. They also noted that they hadn't seen the negative reviews before making their purchase, but were glad they didn't.

  • Negative Reviews Most of The Royal Mint's reviews are comprised of 1-star ratings from customers. One customer, who bought from The Royal Mint on January 18th, 2023 claimed that the company took their cash for a gold coin and nothing ever came of it for a month.

The company took two weeks to respond and would not send the coin or a substitute for the coin. They also said that The Royal Mint wouldn't issue a refund either.

The customer further states that they were unable to get a quote or an order number because The Royal Mint claims they didn't issue one.

This same customer also said that the company has website issues and urged others to think carefully before doing business with them.

Another customer was completely disappointed with the customer service experience. The customer purchased a 20g bullion bar in February for which The Royal Mint took immediate payment.

As of March 2nd, 2023, there was still no delivery of the bullion bar. The customer said that they contact customer service on numerous occasions but they weren't receiving adequate responses.

After more correspondence, the customer asked for a full refund. However, The Royal Mint has not responded to this request.

According to the customer, their next step is to get the bank involved and accuse them of fraud due to a lack of movement on The Royal Mint's end.

Another customer said that they had a terrible experience with The Royal Mint. For starters, the website isn't functioning properly. It took 3 attempts for the customer's payment to be accepted.

Additionally, the customer said that they placed the order from the United States but the VAT was not removed as promised by the company.

Another issue that the customer made note of was that the confirmation email did not state that the coins would be delivered to them. Instead, the coins would be stored in a vault, which is not what the customer requested.

They contacted customer service within minutes of placing the order and were told they had no obligation to correct the problem.

Overall, The Royal Mint has some pretty alarming negative reviews. Most customers who place an order with them did not receive their coins. Additionally, the customer service representatives don't seem to be particularly helpful.
