Part 1 of my inter­view with the Chi­nese band Hiper­son, based out of Cheng­du in Sichuan province. We cov­er the ear­ly days of the band and the record­ing of the new album in this sec­tion, and I’ve includ­ed songs from each of their releases.

Part 2 will come next week, and in it, they dis­cuss their influ­ences and some his­to­ry of rock and indie music in China.
