I’ve got an eMountain Bike, but I can’t actually ride it on most of the mountain biking trails around here unless I flagrantly flaunt the “law”. I do that, sometimes. I’m not obnoxious about it. It just seems like history hasn’t caught up yet and it’s silly. It’s like if there was some law about not eating popsicles on piers, but there was 10 popsicle stands at the end of the pier. Sound dumb? Well the extremely-many mountain bike trails around here all point to Bend, Oregon where there at 10 stores selling eBikes.

Sounds like history is starting to come around. The organization Bend e-MTB Access helps change things. There just started a 30-day comments period on all this. I’m pleased to see what is being considered is most of Phil’s and Peterson Ridge, the two nicest and most accessible trail systems around here.
