Many stu­dents drawn to archi­tec­ture school imag­ine work­ing with, or cre­at­ing, a small firm and hav­ing a per­son­al impact design­ing unique struc­tures. But the real­i­ty of archi­tec­ture is chang­ing. More and more archi­tects choose to work with larg­er firms and col­lab­o­rate with diverse mul­ti-skilled teams on long-term projects requir­ing intense plan­ning, prepa­ra­tion and financ­ing.
