Jesus grew up in Nazareth, a town that is not known for anything good. Quite the unexpected place for the King of Jews to grow up in. Jesus came to the world to identify with all humanity, those in the high places and the lowly. His upbringing in an obscure town that was regarded with contempt served as an important part of His mission, encapsulating “God with us”.
