Tens of thousands of Gulf War I veterans are suffering and dying from what many have labeled Gulf War Syndrome. Though the Department of Defense still calls it a "mystery illness," many experts believe it is caused by some combination of battlefield exposure to depleted uranium munitions, chemical and biological agents, and experimental vaccines. Hear an interview with Joyce Riley. She is a spokesperson for the American Gulf War Veterans Association and producer of the documentary "Beyond Treason: The U.S. Government's Long History of Conducting Deadly Military Experiments." This film looks at the horror of past U.S. Government programs as well as the ongoing use in Iraq of banned and phenomenally dangerous weapons. The apparent results of these actions are staggering and crying for justice.
