The Bible speaks clearly about a conflict in the last days before the coming of Messiah, between the nations of the world and the God of Israel, in which the physical city of Jerusalem plays a central role. This conflict comes to its climax when the Jewish people are (at least in part) restored to the land, and the nations are “gathered” against Jerusalem” (Zechariah 12-14). (Interestingly, it is the Lord who gathers the nations to fight against Jerusalem (Zech 14:2), and it is the Lord who fights against those nations - Zech 14:3).Listen to the audio version of our Weekly Update:
