Cypress Grove studios is supported by the Canning Properties Group. The number one real estate team in Pebble Beach and Carmel, California. They specialize in ocean and golf front properties and have been leading the industry for over 35 years. If you've ever played golf in Pebble Beach or taken a run along Carmel beach, you've definitely seen their listings. As their team has grown, they've expanded into dramatic ocean view homes in the Carmel Highlands, and most recently into the Santa Lucia Preserve which encompasses about 10,000 acres with just 300 home sites, a Tom Fazio golf course, and over 100 miles of private trails. If you're looking for a seasonal getaway or interested in moving here full time, be sure to reach out to Jess Canning.
I've known Jess for several years and I've learned how complicated and diverse properties are in this area. She'll help you dial in the search to find what you're looking for, and like every great team, they focus on the details, execute at every step and work as a group to provide the best value for each of their clients.

[00:03:49] Sports build character, they build leadership qualities.
[00:04:28]Who do we want to be? And what do we want to stand for as an organization?
[00:08:07]When you get in a room full of athletes, there are certain things that it doesn't matter what sport you played. There's a certain amount of resilience.
[00:10:33]I challenge everyone daily to be leaders from where they are.
[00:10:51]Leadership isn't necessarily title oriented. Positional leadership is the worst kind.
[00:11:08]It's about who you are, what your actions are, your relationships and things like that.
[00:12:12]People struggle when they're unclear about what to do and that's when they slip into their own bad habits.
[00:14:20]Any team that you're on needs to have pieces that fit well together, and I learned that play in sports before I ever learned it anywhere else.

[00:21:00] I appreciate people being able to have open conversations with me and disagree, which is something I've encouraged them to do, but still at the end of the day, we're going to be professional. We're going to do what we need to do.
[00:24:37] I got some great people who look, nothing like our kids, their backgrounds are nothing like our kids and they're the best people in those kids' lives.
[00:26:31]This is who we should be versus we are right now.
[00:27:05] I believe that our school is the most important asset that this community has.
[00:32:19] I'm in it right now. You're going through some things, but we're going to be okay, we're going to get through this.
[00:35:15]It's about making decisions that are based, not on just our base desires or the whim or that, that moment of feeling, Hey, I want this, but actually looking at things and how they're going to work, how they're going to fit together and trying to make the best decision.
[00:36:11] You're never stuck in a position. How do we reevaluate and do what is mission appropriate for us and not this moment, age and stage in our life.
