Kevin discuss recounts an experience where a man took an early out, expecting certain benefits that were not included in the package. He went through the benefits with him, the man began to realize that the early out was not as good of a deal as he wanted. While some individuals may still choose to take an early out, it is important to understand the implications and impact of the decision before doing so.

During a workshop, a participant asked if they would receive the special retirement supplement (SRS) if they took the voluntary early retirement authority (VERA). The answer was no, and He emphasized the importance of understanding the implications of decisions before making them. The speaker ultimately concludes that individuals need to be aware of all the benefits they will receive and what they may be giving up before making a decision.
