Luke makes a contrast between Martha & Mary that feels very appropriate for how we live our lives in the modern world.  Are we more often "a Mary" or "a Martha"? Following that, Jesus talks about prayer.  He gives the disciples a "model prayer" to use when they approach the Father and follows that up with a story to explain how much God wishes to give the very best answers to the prayers offered by his children who come to Him with boldness.
