This week we learned how being Baptized causes us to live a better life. We discussed how the early church believed that when we are baptized the water signifies the power of Jesus’ blood washing our sins clean.
This transformation encourages us daily to do the right thing and washes us clean of all our sins. It is the power of God that raised us from death to life.
More than twenty kids have informed me that they want to be baptized. So, we are preparing them for this Holy Sacrament. Jesus said that we can only come to Him when the Father has called us- John 6:44. So, as the kids hear His calling, we are going to do our part and prepare them and not hinder them- Matthew 19:14.

Devotional
This week’s devotional is about living a life devoted to God.
When we are baptized, we live a life that is different from our life before we were baptized.
As we are now part of the same Christian family as all of the disciples of Christ, we should be known now by the love that we have-John 13:35.

You were all baptized into Christ, and so you were all clothed with Christ. This shows that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Now, in Christ, there is no difference between Jew and Greek. There is no difference between slaves and free men. There is no difference between male and female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus. You belong to Christ. So you are Abraham’s descendants. You get all of God’s blessings because of the promise that God made to Abraham.’
–Galatians 3:26-29

This week I want you to start your prayers by thanking God for giving you life. Tell Him that you will now do your best to listen to Him, make the right decisions, and do the things He wants you to do. Thank Him for washing your sins clean.
Many times, you will not think about what to do. You will just do the thing that you want.
I want to encourage you to take a few seconds to seek the Lord and see what He says. LIVE FOR HIM!
Spend time talking with your children and asking questions about baptism. Pray with them about their hearts’ desire to do this important part of Yeshua’s command to be made into a disciple of His -Matthew 28:18-20.

‘Yes, when Christ died, he died to defeat the power of sin one time—enough for all time. He now has a new life, and his new life is with God. In the same way, you should see yourselves as being dead to the power of sin and alive with God through Christ Jesus.’

Baptism symbolizes death to sin. It also represents the resurrection of a new person in Christ. Baptism symbolizes the washing away of our sins. The act of baptism in and of itself does not save us, the blood of Jesus does.

We get baptized because the Messiah commanded it in Matthew 28:18-19 and to follow Jesus’ example of being baptized Himself Matthew 3:13-17.

Testimonies
