We conclude David’s sin with Bathsheba remembering that this was adultery, lying, and murdering and that through all those mistakes the Lord never rejected David. He saw his sin as one thing and his identity as another. The boys, father included, were challenged to remember that he is displeased with the sin in our life, but never displeased with upright identity as his children.
