In this episode we read the text of Hebrews 8 and consider the question, "What's wrapped up in the title 'Christ'?" The Scriptures foretold of a Christ that would be a king and a suffering servant of the Lord. But the author of Hebrews has shown that the Scriptures also predicted that Christ would be divine and would be a priest. This change in the priesthood for God's people necessitated a change in the covenant. Jeremiah predicted this new covenant... A better covenant built on better promises.
