Philippians 2:1-7
How we think determines what we become. We have been given the mind of Christ; however, it is still our choice to align with His thoughts. If we think like Jesus thought, we will live like Jesus lived. Our attitude should also reflect His attitude. Continually checking our attitude is important as our attitude determines our altitude. Attitude pertains to our mental habits/thoughts. We need to have a Christ-like attitude. As we practice repeating an action and thinking like Christ, a healthy habit will be formed. Pleasing God isn’t about self-promotion but self-abandonment, because when we lose our life in Christ, we will find Christ’s life in us. We are called to follow Christ’s pattern and to serve others as we live with a sense of abandonment.
