When I read chapters and verses of worship, particularly from the book of Psalms, I am reminded of why we were created. We were created to worship God, to exalt him, to love him with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and to express feelings of reverence and adoration towards him.

But, we also need to know ourselves and be aware of what causes us to sin. If you hold to the Christian faith; if you fearlessly and boldly proclaim what you believe you will be hated.
Contrary to American philosophy, not every religion is equal. Jesus is the Gate and all others are false.
David’s faith was unwavering because he remembered how God helped him in the past and he knew that God could do it again.

To overcome the flesh requires the aid of the Holy Spirit living inside of us. Without him, our nature is to sin, and our willpower, or flesh, is weak.
Jesus knew that he had come from God and that he would be returning to the Father soon. He also knew the implications of that truth.
Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
True believers should never be self-righteous, because true believers know that even on our best day our righteousness is like filthy rags before the Father.

Paul understood that the plain truth of the bible is what we need. It doesn't need any additional help to reach the hearts of people because the bible is most powerful when we let it speak for itself.
When God blesses us, or delivers us, it should encourage us to be more dedicated to God.
Our words can be a weapon or they can be healing to those who hear them. What kind of words are coming out of your mouth?
Have the words of the gospel fallen on good soil in your life? Because only when it has are you truly able to grow in your faith and produce a crop.
Do you believe that God's commands found in the bible can make you wiser than your enemies; that it can provide more insight than any teacher or professor? I do.
We can't outsmart God because he is wiser than us, and he has a bird's eye view of all of our plans.
For you to play a part in the Spirit's plan to win souls for Christ, you might have to be proactive.
Our mandate as believers and followers of Christ are to love God, hold fast to him and serve him with all of our heart and soul.
Know that if God calls you to persevere through a trial instead of delivering you, he is walking right by your side through the fire.
When Jesus' righteousness covers our unrighteousness, we can stand in the presence of a holy God.

On our own we can't always get a clear picture of where we are. We may unintentionally deceive ourselves. That is why we should ask the Spirit to search us.
Even if our lives are short, God's favor rests on us. It rests on us because we are his creation made in his image.

The bible will never require updating or correction. It was true when it was written and it is true today.

It can be difficult to stand in the face of sin, but we are encourage to stand firm and to not let ourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
When the widow gave 2 copper coins, she gave 100%. The others gave less than all they had. And Jesus said she gave more.
With whatever we try to accomplish, especially if it is work for the Lord, we can't for get about the Lord of the work.
Jesus was made human, like us, in every way. He knows what it is like to be human in a fallen world.

To become a new wineskin we need to fast. By fasting, we are emptied of ourselves because we are consciously denying our flesh and are focusing on our relationship with Christ.
Jesus tells us that if we believe, we will receive whatever we ask for in prayer. How should we take that?
