Underlined Verses: Recent Episodes

Many of us have verses underlined in our Bibles and notes we’ve written in the margins. In these podcasts I read my underlined verses and pray they become a source of encouragement to you also.
It requires some tough choices to follow God. We have to choose God’s approval over social approval, persevere through failure and choose to believe God’s promises.
Life gives us hard things to process. It takes time to digest and understand what God is doing. Hope is a vital enzyme.
Sometimes when the journey seems too long and difficult, the Holy Spirit has remind us of our destination, His protection and promises.
If we’re following Jesus, we are following a mighty King, a good shepherd who laid down His life for us. We should not fear, even in the darkest times because He walks ahead of us.
Jesus does the work of resurrection and transformation. My work is simply to set people free and help them see what Jesus has already done.
A servant listens when his Master speaks. God sometimes asks us to deliver a message. Listen, then humbly deliver the message.
Our trials can make us stronger. Even when we are in them, the Holy Spirit can give us power to endure. That power is one of God’s precious promises to us.
Jesus died in our place. He carried our sins to the grave. Isaiah prophesied it would happen just as it did. It is the most life-changing news I have ever heard.
Wisdom realizes that God is the greatest power that will rule the earth. You may be a captive of your circumstances, but God has promised His ultimate victory in your life and on this earth.
If we attempt to confine God’s miracles to what fits our dogma, tradition or schedule, we will be unable to see or be part of what God is doing.
When God saves me, His Spirit living in me gives me power over my old, natural and destructive desires. When I fail, Christ intercedes for me and gives me the will and the power to fight again.
Every day we have opportunities to speak words of healing to others, or words of selfish ambition.
My faith and actions in difficult circumstances affect everybody around me. And the songs we choose to sing can set us free.
Sometimes God asks us to share the little we have left so that we know He will replenish it.
Sometimes what surrounds me strikes fear in my heart. Remind me today that with You are on my side. I may be taken by surprise but I will not be overcome by my enemy.
