One of the biggest thing I have learned as a musician who used to play for churches for over 4-5 years, is that, just because you use your gift in a Godly environment, it doesn’t mean your honouring God with your gift.

Just because you use your musical skills, your art, dance or acting skills, even your skills as an engineer, communicator or organiser or someone using any skill you have, to present before him, it does not mean that you are honouring him.
