In episode 008, Simon talks to Daniel. Daniel Loftus is from the small coastal town Newport, Co. Mayo on the west coast of Ireland and currently lives in Dublin.After university Daniel spend a number of years working as a software developer and data scientist.  He co-founded his first software start-up in the live entertainment space, which flopped.

Between that and pivoting UrbanFox he developed high frequency trading algorithms and worked as a data science consultant.  After a chance introduction to a founder who had gone from idea to a multi-billion dollar exit in the fraud and KYC space, Daniel became fascinated with the networks and techniques professional fraudster’s use and pivoted UrbanFox to fraud detection and prevention.

In early 2020 he was featured in the Irish Independent’s 30 Under 30 List and also in the Sunday Business Post’s 100 Hottest Startups.  UrbanFox was also accepted onto Barclay’s Accelerator powered by Techstar’s in London.

He is an avid scuba diver and has been diving since he was 13.
