My name is Jessica. Jess for short. I'm a 45-year-old writer, traveler, educator, Lit fan, advocate crisis volunteer, sister, daughter,true crime lover, friend, cat mom....and I'm sick.
When I set out to create a podcast, I knew I wanted to talk about life with chronic illness, but I had NO idea which direction I wanted it to take. I still don't. I create outlines of scenarios and stories and conversations in my head as a base, and instead, I take twists and turns and back roads and rabbit holes in every which way to get to the point of my story. But that's life, isn't it?

Tomorrow I'll share part two of my health journey. We pick up in September 2015, when I had a total abdominal hysterectomy. From there, it's all been downhill, especially the last several months. But someone turned me on to yet another theory, and if you know me at all, you know I love rabbit hole...and Big Pharma is down one of them.
