Every Dungeons and Dragons podcast must talk about min-maxing at some point — thankfully our character builds include the "Podcaster" feat which grants us expertise on the topic. When we combine that feat with the latest and objectively the best variant features and a critical multiclass that comes with no drawbacks .  .  .

Looking beyond just Hexadins and Coffeelocks—does min-maxing and powergaming have a place at the table?  Or does that play style detract from the rest of the table's enjoyment of the game?
