Good morning fam!!

Today I'm just touching on intergenerational trauma.

From wiki: Transgenerational trauma, or intergenerational trauma is a psychological term which asserts that trauma can be transferred in between generations.

For me this trauma manifested as a generational pattern in terms of high school graduation.

None of my grandparents graduated, my parents didn't graduate and neither did a number of my relatives. Despite my best efforts, I also dropped out.

I knew when I had my son that I was not going to pass this horrible fate to my son.

When he began elementary school I knew in my heart that the only way to break the pattern was to lead by example and support him as best I could.

I finally graduated in 2015 (19 years after grad) and my son graduated earlier this year.

I broke the cycle. And you can too.

Love ya!
