Adam and Eve committed the original sin when in their pride and self-centeredness they disobeyed God and took what wasn't theirs to take. That sin precipitated The Fall, which was the purview of our study last time. After The Fall it wasn't long before the corruption of sin began to grow. Their own son murdered his brother. A few generations later another murder is reported within the same family - Cain's. Then over the next 1600 years as the population grows so does the corruption. Until finally, after much long-suffering and patience, God judges sin and washes away the corruption in a world-wide flood. But the nature of God is merciful and gracious even in judgment.
