Episode 01: The Dirty illness🦠

Illness is the night-side of life, a more onerous citizenship. Everyone who is born holds dual citizenship, in the kingdom of the well and in the kingdom of the sick. Although we all prefer to use only the good passport, sooner or later each of us is obliged, at least for a spell, to identify ourselves as citizens of that other place.

Susan Sontag hits the right nail on the head. The boundary of the kingdom of the well and sick is blurring at this moment under this particular condition. 

How would you interpret illness and the quarantine with a literary work? What does the illness mean to all, mentally and physically? Who is suffering and how is that suffering expressed? Two students from the RCA Writing Program read us their favorite pieces to decipher illness.
