A conversion on the Internet takes place when a visitor to a web page completes an action on that page. Many web pages are intended to have a visitor take some action such as filling out a form downloading a file or placing an order for an item. These activities are actions that can when completed, are considered to be a conversion by the website because the result can be tracked.
