This is a series taught by Russ Dizdar on recognizing, dealing with and witnessing to the different types of Satanism we will run into as we spread the Gospel of Jesus.

Never forget,, they like everyone else needs to hear the Truth of our Savior and King Jesus Christ, so we need to know how to approach and talk to them.

This episode is something I was warned about in my studies on the subject (spiritual warfare) and yet it still caught me off guard.

Some toes were stepped on and arguments ensued.

Praise Jesus for his intercession we were not sifted.

We as Believers should never forget that the enemy is cunning and he will come at you sideways.

He will Sidle up next to you with a smile just before he gets the horse to buck and the only thing that keeps us on track is our Lord Jesus. He is the calmer of storms the righter of wrongs and the great intercessor.

What the devil intends for evil Jesus uses for good.

We take a good look at supernatural sight and supernatural blindness.

I'm talking about what we know is real what we perceive as fact. I’m talking about insight, foresight, hindsight, spiritual sight and yes spiritual blindness. I’m talking about what we perceive as reality. What we decide is a threat and what we decide is an illusion. What we deiced is true and very real and what we choose to see as allegory.

This was fun and I cant wait to do part 2.

Moving on in the letter of 2 John, we had the pleasure of Gary's son Jason with us on our journey. We discussed truth a bit more and talk about what our walk in Christ means. Some jokes thrown around about marriage and our wives, but with any luck were not in two much trouble.

View Details

Continuing with the story of Naaman, we look at what happened, what he did and learned following his healing and encounter with the one true God Yahweh. We look at some of the language and culture and delve into what life was like under the “gods” of the nations and what that meant. I bring up one of the things that I am opposed to in today's church, one of things I believe is wrong. Some of the others in our group flatly disagree with me on this and we have a very heated debate on the subject.

And like always even after “a pull no punch” debate or “argument” we remain brothers in Christ, and I truly hope everyone can learn from that.

So we start a new book. We have moved on to 2 John 2.

This little one chapter letter is going to build some great discussion and study time. There is so much packed into the short letter we will be here for a while. Already we started talking about "truth" and what is real truth. The difference between how the world looks at truth and what we believers know is truth. Like there some things we agree on and some things we debate. All of it in love and the search to rightly handle the Word of God.

View Details

Starting in 2 Kings chapter 5 and looking at the story of Naaman.

We talk about pride, faith, loyalty, ritual and humility. And being a stranger in a strange land. I get a bit of push-back from Dave on my research which is a good thing. These guys keep me honest and make me show my research and prove the validity my findings and suggestions. That is something we should all do with anyone teaching in the Bible. If a teacher can't stand up to scrutiny he has no business teaching, a bible teacher should encourage questions.

We get Mike back after his go around with the covid and it's so good to have him back.

Gary wasn't feeling well at the start of the episode(kinda tired and thin)

But I knew the once we started into God's word, that this elixir of life we call the Bible would get ahold of him and breathe life into him as it always does. Praise God. Another great hour of New Testament Talk with our friend and brother Gary.

View Details

So this Is part 4 to endout chapter 4 of 2 Kings. I wasn't on my "A" game with this one but the guys helped out and we made it work. Some interesting details looked at and discussed. As well as some great viewpoints and some off the trail info shared. Like always we had a great time sharing God"s Word and thats is what it is about. Finding more interesting the Word of God than the things of the world.

View Details

This time we are a trio, Gary Dave and myself with our brother in arms Mike V. is down with the covid. So I'll ask everyone to keep him in your prayers.

It looks like we are at the end of 1 John but I think we may have a little more in the tank to finish out this Great literary work of the Apostle. There is without doubt more in it then we blue collar scholars can unpack in 6 months or so.

So turn up the volume and listen to another great thought provoking session of New Testament Talk

View Details

So this is part 3 of what now looks like a 4 parter in 2 kings 4.

I go a bit deep into the language and culture of the times and draw information from a bunch of books, scholarly journals and papers on Ancient Near East and demonology to drive my point home that so many times in scripture there is so much more in the text then we get from surface reading and it's worth the dig if you truly enjoy being amazed at this wonderful book we call the Bible.

(at one point there is a term I couldn't remember but it is---(The doctrine of accommodation)

View Details

Still looking into 1st John towards the end of the chapter verses 16 17 and 18. At the beginning gary told me he felt unprepared, uneasy, disjointed about to study today. So we did what we always do..WE prayed before we started then we got into the Word of God. Reading it, Looking at, discussing it, contemplating it, searching it out. And just like always,

Isaiah 55:11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

All worked out for the Glory of God and we had a great time in the Word  (told you so)

View Details

This is part two of what will be a three part episode on 2 Kings chapter 4.

We covered some interesting ground on this one and even discussed some Rabbinic traditions floating around on this section of the Bible.

Like always we try to show you don't have to have a degree or letters  after your name to do good in depth studies of God's Word and join the adventure.

IF WE CAN DO IT SO CAN YOU

View Details

This was a great episode for all of us. I was having a trying day and need to hear good truths from the wisdom of the men God has blessed my life with. We all shared, and Gary opened up and showed his vulnerability and where he need to grow, which helped us all to realize that no matter where you are in life or how old you are, the Father is continually working on us and drawing us closer to him "if" we let him and "search" for him and let go of "ourselves".

View Details

So going into this I had a plan, and like many time "the best laid plans often go astray". I didn't realize the Lord had something more in store and what he wanted me to see was more than I understood in the onset of this study. So here is part 1 of what could be a 2 or 3 part teaching in

2 Kings chapter 4.

View Details

Our tenth episode with Gary and I just can't get enough of drawing from his wisdom. Like always this was a great time with all the guys adding input and  and giveing life examples of application.

(Sorry about the background noise of the trains at times)

We are continuing to look at Elisha's story and some of the mess Israel gets itself into. I take a hard look at a troubling passage and my friends help out by bringing new layers to the solution I did not see before.

View Details

Yep this time we let one of our brothers "Dave Peachy" lead the study.

And don't let him fool you Dave is a highly intelligent, well read and learned individual and yes he has been through seminary. He's looking at the doctrine of the Trinity, and we found out some great things from our brother and like always we had a great time doing it.

View Details

This was a good one in my humble opinion. Some suffered a bit of cognitive dissonance at one point over an unfamiliar term "salt of the covenant" or "covenant of salt" (find in Nums 18:19) but at the end we pulled it all together and found out the Word of God is multi layered.

Continuing in 1 Kings we look at chapter 20 and the wars with Ben-Hadad then we jump to chapter 22 and discuss the death of Ahab and the vision of the Divine council that Micaiah has. I explain what the Divine council is and how it impacts our Biblical worldview. We do rabbit hole a bit and have a great debate about eschatology and schools of thought behind that.

We will be taking two weeks of from the podcast, but the great news is the Lord has blessed my family with a new house and the Biblical Research and Study Center gets a new studio for the podcast!

I endup taking a left turn and drill down on the subject of curses and cursing (that's what Jezabel did to Elijah that made him scared and run) We hope you will enjoy our group of regular guys (dudes) that love to dig deep into the word and go on that adventure.

Music for the new intro was originally by.. Rochnstock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLsrNbDQEN0&t=50s his stuff is great!!! check him out
