Solve Z is another piece from IndepenDRUM that I have used as a clinic teaching tool. The ending of this track my Right foot is playing in 5/16, my Left foot is playing in 4/4 while my hands play a 16th note rythmic pattern in 9/8 , 9/8, 12/8. This was the reason for the name because it took a long time to figure that out to play. And like we said in our previous podcast, Matt had no idea what I was recording until he received the drums only track. He then gave the piece it's personality with the effects going on. Be sure to wear headphones to truly appreciate this. *3:10 mark you will hear the distress call but he recorded it backwards so it will never be understood!
