Chris Pearson is the man who started the WordPress theme framework craze back in 2008. Since then, a lot has changed. There’s been competition, drama, and all sorts of interesting stuff since the launch of Thesis. Aside from his usual witty Twitter banter, It’s been a while since Chris has spoken publicly. We’re pretty excited to hear about what he’s been up to lately and hear about some of his thoughts on where WordPress is headed.

Over the years, Chis has blogged, spoken, and tweeted about quite a few different subjects related to the web in general. He’s written a number of interesting posts about Typography and design which approach things a bit differently than most. Chris has also written a lot on one of my favorite subjects: SEO. Lately he hasn’t blogged a whole lot, but you can read some of the killer posts from his his more active blogging days on the Pearsonfied Valut. There’s a lot of gems in there that still ring true today, which is really saying something in the toss-away content culture we’re in at the moment.

I’ve never personally met Chris, but literally everyone who has ever mentioned him to me has included the fact that he’s a genius. No matter what their overall opinion of Thesis, the GPL, or anything else related to Chris is, they always seems to toss that in there. I can’t really think of anyone else who has that kind of renowned respect, so I’m really interested to hear what Chris has to say.
