Different Types of Life 4

Apart from the fact that the life of God is the highest form of life, what is so spectacular about man having the life of God inside him? The answer to this question will mean a lot to you if you truly understand the implication of it. The answer is that man is the only being that God the creator of the universe can comfortably live inside. The making of man is so mysterious that the bodies of man can accommodate God.

When a believer carries Zoe, he or she is in other words housing God. This is the major thing that singles out man from all other beings. Prophets and other Old testament saints wanted to have this life, but they couldn't. The best they could have was the Holy Spirit come upon them and when he was done working with them he left them. But now we have the life of God living in us through the power of the Spirit.

Nicodemus was fascinated by the life Jesus lived so when he inquired of Jesus, Jesus let him know that the source of his life was Zoe - the life of God.

1 Peter 1:10-12(NLT) says...

This salvation was something even the prophets wanted to know more about when they prophesied about this gracious salvation prepared for you.11 They wondered what time or situation the Spirit of Christ within them was talking about when he told them in advance about Christ’s suffering and his great glory afterward.

12 They were told that their messages were not for themselves, but for you. And now this Good News has been announced to you by those who preached in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen.

All the Old testament saints saw the vision of Jesus, prophesied about him, longed to witness the life of God, desired to have it, but none could experience this life that we have today. The life we have is so unique that even angels are fascinated about the idea of God living in a man. It is an all-time wonder for them because all through creation, no other being created by God has had the opportunity of hosting God in the form of the Holy Ghost, within their bodies.

There is a song we sang back in the day that says "something more than gold, the Spirit of God in the life of a man is something more than gold." This is exactly what eternal life is. If we truly understand it and we live in the reality of the new Life in Christ, nothing is truly compared to it.

Angels are watching, saints of old are watching, and they are thrilled over the life we have today. I pray that God will give us wisdom to understand it and live in the fullness of this life, in Jesus name.
