Different Types of Life 2

We have discussed the different life forms in the physical, today we will consider the different life forms in the spirit world. God had uniquely separated all life forms into different categories with distinctive features. In the physical we have the animal kingdom, plant kingdom and the Protista kingdom. This same thing applies to life forms in the spirit world. In the spirit world it is categorized into two; the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness; the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. In these kingdoms we have different life forms. The highest of all life forms, be it in the physical or spiritual realm, is the life of God - Zoe. Next to Zoe is the life God that was in man Adam before he lost it. Today we have access to that life albeit at a higher level in Christ. This is followed by the angelic life in heaven. Then the fallen angels which includes Satan and all demonic forces. Lastly is the life of mankind in the fallen state.

Let’s look at some scriptures that give us insight into these life forms.

Psalm 8:3-5 (NLT), When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—the moon and the stars you set in place—4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?5 Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.

In the order of ranking, God is the highest life form followed by Man. According to verse 5 of the above scripture, man is made a little lower than God.

Revelations 12:7-8 (NLT), Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. 8 And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven.

Satan initiated a war against God in heaven, but it was Michael and the other angels that stopped them and threw them out of heaven. God is way above the devil, He can’t descend so low as to fight with the devil, so the angels had to deal with the situation. Michael and the angelic host of heaven are higher than Lucifer and his demonic host, so they were cast out of heaven. Let’s stop overrating satanic power, his greatest power is the power of deception.

Hebrew 1:13-14, And God never said to any of the angels, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet."14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

Angelic life is lower than the life of God in the believer, that’s why the angels are assigned to service the believers, God’s own children.

It is important to arm ourselves with the understanding of the different life forms in the spirit and our God given position in this. A better understanding will help us walk in a greater level of dominion.
