Wednesday 3rd March

We thank God for this lovely Wednesday, for this month and we trust that everything is going-on well for you in the name of Jesus.

All through this month we are discussing “Building Your Testimony” and this week our focus is on the fact that EVERY LIFE IS A TESTIMONY. No matter what is going on and regardless of your current situation, your life is a testimony.

There is a story of a young girl in the Bible. A simple and ordinary girl, her life seems so insignificant and inconsequential initially. Nobody took notice of her, but God had designed her life to be extraordinary and amazing things we scheduled to happen in her life. Her name is Mary. Her status as a testimony had been settled by God even before her great grandparents met. About 700 years earlier, Prophet Isaiah spoke long before it even before Mary was born.

Isaiah 7:14 (NLT)

14 All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

At the time when prophet Isaiah gave this prophetic declaration, there was a challenging situation in Israel and King Ahaz gad to be in seclusion. Prophet Isaiah gave this prophecy from God in response to that situation saying a virgin girl shall conceive and give birth to a child and his name shall be called Emmanuel.

Mary aligned her life with God and this prophecy came to pass centuries later. Remember when the angel Gabriel came to her and gave her the news of God’s plan for her life? Her response was, “I'm the handmaid of the Lord. Be unto me according to your word”. Mary’s life could have been so ordinary, it could have just been basic and boring but she was a testimony waiting to happen.

The question I have for you today is this, do you know what God has said about your life? Do you know what he has settled about your life years and centuries before you came? I do not have all the detail but have I have an idea. The Bible says they are precious, beautiful, and wonderful plans. When you begin to align your life with the thing God has designed and said concerning you, it will rewrite the story of your life completely for the better

Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)

“For I know the plans I have for you”, says the Lord, “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”

What we see in Mary was an ordinary life that aligned with the plans of God and resulted into an extraordinary life. There is something extraordinary about you, and like Mary do not worry yourself about how it would happen, just stay with God, walk with Him, stick to His design for your life and see what great testimony He will make out of you.

God bless you and enjoy the rest of the day.
