Hello and a lovely Wednesday to you in the name of Jesus. And I'm sure you’re enjoying the year so far.

We've been talking about Exploring Our Heavenly Treasure. It is important we know what's in this treasure, so we can know how to practically enjoy it.

Revelation 5:12 (NKJV) 12 saying with a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!"

These are some of the things that are in the wells of salvation. These are some of the things that God has made provision for in our heavenly treasure, like I said yesterday I call them "Christ Capital" these are the capital we enjoy because of our relationship with Christ and our investment in heaven.

Today we’ll be talking about power.

Christ died for us, so we can receive power. That's one of the things in the wells of salvation, that's one of the things we have in our heavenly treasure. This power is not just power to carry heavy things or power to fight. In Greek it is the word "Dunamis" which means the supernatural ability of God, the ability to do extra ordinary things.

Remember when Jesus was going to heaven in Acts 1:8 (NKJV) 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

This is the power to represent God in everything He's called us to do. It is the power to witness the reality of God’s ability to other people not just to preach. A lot of people think it’s just for preaching or to lead people to Christ. Although this is part of it, it’s much more than that. It is the power to do all that God has called you to do. It is the power to be a better parent, power to be a better spouse, better student, the power to represent God in every way, right from your immediate environment to the ends of the earth, that is how awesome that power is. It's influence, its ability. And God says in that well, you have this power available.

It is important we have faith for these things.

The apostles were hiding out in this upper room when Jesus died but when the Holy Spirit came upon then in Acts chapter 2, the power of God came upon them and empowered them to do the extraordinary. The results of their lives were so great that Sanhedrin said “…there is something different about these people”. They all knew that they were uneducated men but they could not deny what the power of the Holy Spirit had done in their lives.

I pray in the name of Jesus that you'll be able to draw new levels of power, deeper levels of power from the wells of salvation, may experience the reality of this capital is available to you through your investment in Christ in the name of Jesus.
