Hello and a beautiful Wednesday morning to you in the name of Jesus.
We’re still talking about the transforming power of seeing when it comes to starting afresh, having new experiences, having new starts. It takes faith to have a new start and the things you see go along way to affecting and influencing your faith. I’ll be reading this morning again where we read yesterday,
Genesis chapter 13 verse 14 to 15: And the Lord said to Abram after Lot had separated from him. He said lift up your eyes now and look from the place where you are. Look northward, look southward, look eastward and look westward. Verse 15: For all the land which you see I gave to you and your descendants forever. For all you see I give to you. All you can see is all i can give to you.
Can you imagine? So Abraham had the land and that land is the land of Israel we know today. Can you imagine a man staying in one place and seeing the whole of the land border of Israel all the way. I think it’s humanly impossible to see that far. So it couldn’t have been a physical sight, It was something saw he saw in his mind’s eye and he saw that whole land. He could see the boundaries, he could see them expanding from where he was. Remember his nephew Lot had chosen some path and walked away. I’m sure maybe from where they were the Lord could see some areas there. Maybe there were in an elevated place on a mountain and the Lord could see Sodom and Gomorrah and he moved there and it looked nice. But Abraham saw in his mind’s eye. He saw beyond Sodom, he saw beyond Gomorrah, he saw Canaan, he saw all that whole place...northward, southward, eastward and westward.
God said look from where you are. It doesn’t matter what you’re going through, it doesn’t matter where you are now, look from where you are. He said all you can see I gave to you.
I remember the story of Walt Disney. I read his biography a couple of years ago and when they were dedicating the first theme park and the governor of the states was saying he wished Walt Disney was alive to see the theme park as it was being dedicated. And the wife was there and said he actually did see it, that’s why we’re doing it today, that’s why we’re commissioning it today. So even though Walt Disney was dead the wife said he actually saw it that’s why it’s happening today. What you see will happen in your life, what you see not just with your natural eyes but your spiritual eyes begin to see anew, begin to see afresh. And it’s amazing that what you see within with your inner eyes has no limitation has no boundaries. He said all that you see I can give to you and I’ll give to you. If you don’t want to see failure don’t look at failure. If you don’t want to see wickedness don’t look at wickedness, if you don’t want to be a victim don’t look at yourself like a victim. Begin to see yourself the way God sees you. If you look all the was from Genesis to Malachi to Matthew to Revelations all the word of God is the extent you can see. See anything there and God says if you can see it I will make it happen for you.
May that be your experience in Jesus’ name.
God bless you, God keep you have a lovely day.
